It’s a nice wind-down to a pretty good week.
I finally feel like this cold (although still here) has at least surrendered my energy back to me.
I was able to get some projects finished up, work on some new things and continue what I have been calling the “grounding-in” of 2013
I like to accomplish things but over the years have learned to not push myself beyond what I can do and to most of all-enjoy the process.
I don’t always succeed but I would say more times than not I do.
I have learned that “organizing the closet” doesn’t have to be this massive overall done in an entire day where you work until you are exhausted.
I have seen the progress made when I decide, “let’s just take one basket full of things and go through them.”
It became very apparent to me last year during the spring clean-up in the garden.
It was always such a daunting task and one that would take all weekend of working all day.
Then I reminded myself that I gardened because I enjoy it.
Oh yea that’s right!
So I decided to do what I wanted to do and just start.
If all I managed to accomplish was that one area was cleaned out that was fine.
It had to been cleaned out and it was-SUCCESS!
The interesting thing was when I took that approach, I got more done in a day I used to in 2.
I saw that I was able to get so much done just by doing a little here, a little there.
Total contrast to what we are taught in school about “working hard” and “discipline”
Blah, Blah, Blah
I take pride in doing things differently and still getting the results I want.
I have realized in life since you are the one who knows where you are going-who better to get you there?
So here’s hoping you have a weekend of doing it your way-whatever way that is.
Here is to being creative, fun, loving and successful-in ways that matter to you!
Until next time…..
