I am most definitely moving slowly this week and that’s ok.
I truly believe that we have moments where we are running high on creative energy and then we have moments where we need to slow down and soak up all the beautiful work we did. Recap, rest, ready for the next amazing thing.
My husband and I have been renovating an old house for the past 12 years.
It’s a lot of work, it’s not done (doubt it ever will be 🙂 and we have made amazing memories working on it together.
We always sit down after finishing a project (whether for the day or completely) and look at what we have done.
We talk about it.
We have a drink to it.
We relish in what we just created.
We don’t do projects every day. If every day we were creating something new-when would we enjoy them?
I am (trying) to apply this same mind set to my creative work.
As much as I enjoy the creating part-there is a time to just sit back and enjoy.
To recharge. Plan. Prepare and reward yourself for all you have done.
This is the planning week for me.
I am going to spend time journaling, getting in touch with the next steps and connecting to my creative self.
I will chat more about this in the forum so please feel free to stop in! (It’s free to join 🙂
