Happy Monday my lovely readers and creatives. I am sitting with a cup of coffee and some chocolate kisses. Why is it that coffee tastes so much better with a little nibble of chocolate in front of it?
This weekend was nice despite my daughter not feeling well. Fortunately, she was well enough for us to go to the local tree shop to purchase our first ever real live Christmas tree! Both my husband and I grew up with the artificial trees and kept that up once we were married but the past 2 years I thought it would be fun to try a real one and I love her! The kids name her Mary (like Mary Christmas 😉 and she looks so pretty in the corner of our living room. I will be sure to share a picture of her all decorated on my Instagram.
Anyway, today I am picking away at some creative projects, projects for my new business and the general house stuff that keeps me from becoming buried in a pile of laundry and legos.
The first thing I am doing is taking a new course to better hone my journal making abilities. I have quite a few project ideas and I am excited to share them with everyone. One is a Christmas Journal and to be honest I don’t think I will have it completed much before Christmas so it won’t make much sense for this holiday season. I am contemplating my ability to film it, store and schedule it for upload next year. That sounds like it will require a lot of organization on my part so we will see what ultimately happens. I have lots of great ideas for Mother’s Day and everyday journals too so I know I will have more than enough to keep myself busy 🙂
Today my mini project is making a Xmas wreath and possibly videoing the process. After buying our tree we went over to the hardware store for some lights and they had Christmas wreaths both decorated and undecorated. Since I had picked up quite a few ribbons and such at the dollar store I figured I could go ahead and decorate a pretty looking wreath for both doors. The glue gun is our friend an am I right?
So that’s my little catch up from the weekend. With any luck, I will have my video uploaded tomorrow and maybe you will join me to make wreaths together?
Until next time…
