Happy Monday everyone!
I am writing this on Sunday afternoon while I sit with a bit of a creative break and brew some fresh coffee for my afternoon snack. This weekend has been wonderful and I was finally able to get out and really enjoy the autumn weather.
If you have been around a while you know fall is my favorite season with spring being a very close second. Yesterday we explored a new hiking trail and were able to climb to a magnificent view of not only the surrounding area but also the New York City skyline. The trail brought us to a very popular hawk migration area and while we sat sipping coffee from a thermos and snacking on Halloween candy we were able to view (to my husband’s delight) about 6 or so hawks gliding through the air.
In just a bit my husband and kids are going off to visit family and I will have the house to myself. I love when I get these small recharge times where the house is quiet and I can wander around and delve into whatever calls to me even if it’s a nap.
My plan for today is to start on a new junk journal. I have one in the works, however, I recently purchased some graphics on Etsy and I am inspired to work with them. Today’s goal is to coffee-dye some paper and make the book cover. If there is time before the family returns I am going to work on a November challenge I am taking part in and my daily creative journaling practice.
I am also giving some thought to the Dilettante TV which I really want to record. I think I may record a few each Thursday and start posting them in December so I don’t feel rushed to record, edit and upload in one night each week. If you have any topics you would like me to talk about feel free to comment below and I will try and address them.
I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week. Sending lots of love and I will be back on Wednesday with another blog post.
Until next time…
