It was a busy but beautiful weekend in our home.
After lots of planning we had my daughter’s birthday party and it was a wonderful day spent with family and friends.
Today however, I am excited to get my creative work going again and finalizing the Dilettante’s Diary which has been in process for the last few weeks. I believe I have fine-tuned how I want it to look and now just have to get it done!
I also had a brand new idea come to me last night that is super exciting and has me feeling I may have found my creative path for 2013!!!
It’s an idea that has been a part of me for a long time but I have struggled to bring it to fruition.
2013 is the year to make it happen!
I would love for you to be a part of it!
I am seeking creatives who would like to share their inspirational story.
It doesn’t have to be all sunshine and roses (what journey is?) but ultimately I want it to be something that inspires others.
It doesn’t have to be a big huge story. It can be a small ray of sunshine that brightens your day.
It can be a favorite song, a quote or how you love to doodle on the train-ride into work.
It can be a sentence or a story.
It can be an interview or poem.
It can be you sharing an artist technique or whatever inspires you.
If it makes you smile can’t it make others smile as well?
Sound like fun?
It does!!!
If you are interested please reach out to me.
I am open to ideas suggestions, we can chat, Skype, have virtual cups of coffee and come up with some amazingly inspiring stories to share with the world!
I feel we so need them now don’t we?
I told myself I would not blog about the tragedies of last week.
And I won’t.
What I will say, is I whole-heartedly agree with the “turn off the media” campaign and that as creative, beautifully loving human beings we need to take a stand against the horrific news channels and their sensationalistic “journalism.” I would even take it a step further and say that we need to take a stand against what passes for “entertainment,” in the form of crappy reality television, and sudo-celebrities.
Ah, but that is not this blog.
*steps down from soap box*
I have realized that to my core, I believe that promoting what is right, good and kind in this world is the best way to combat the horror.
So I have chosen to pick up my pen, paint brush and camera to capture the beauty, the joy and the love that is around us each day.
I know that’s what I need to see right now.
Don’t you?
Together, we can share stories that lift the human spirit.
We can share beautiful artwork, amazing poetry and joyful photographs.
We can bring a candlelight into the darkness.
Join me?
With love, light and joy until next time….
