I have started working with moon energy. This was something I had tried last year but I just really couldn’t get my head around it. I love astrology and have, over the years, studied it in various ways but to be honest it tends to confuse me. Houses and nodes and voids-yep it’s way too much for me to feel like I can use it to best plan out my creativity and make plans for my dreams.
I have talked on my podcasts how I know I am moon sensitive. I often times feel the energy of the moon pull me in one way or another and as of yet, I haven’t been able to find any rhyme or reason for the flow of energy. I know it’s there, hidden beneath the light of a full moon or in the shadows of the new, I just haven’t been able to understand it as of yet.
I have noticed however that if there is a bad time in the month for me to have committed to a large gathering I will do it and oftentimes I am unprepared for the high creative energy when it hits me.
I have tried charting in those pretty circle graphs but I feel like there is just not enough room and even if there is I find it so hard to identify and type of rhythm or path from words. I have found a new online resource from a really love creative and I think it might contain the pieces of my little-hidden puzzle.
So starting with yesterday’s New Moon I have begun charting starting first with the moon’s phase and where it is falling in the stars. That coupled with the information on each sign I gathered from Hali’s class (she offers a snippet free to subscribers) I am hoping to be able to design my own little reference chart.
So if I were to say feel anxious one day, I can look and see where the moon is currently hanging out and take note. If I have one of those rock-it days I can also look and see where the moon is hanging out. While I am writing this the moon is waning and hanging out in Sagittarius and it’s making me very cranky and irritable. Everything feels like nails on a chalkboard the world, in general, feels like it is all garnering for my attention all at once and all I really want to do is sit in the dark and listen to quiet.
Of course, there is no quiet with Sagittarius. I’m not speaking from any astrological knowledge just my personal experience with the Sun Sign version 😉
So it’s a fun experiment that I hope will help me identify the best times to go full on with my creativity, taking Action with it and then the times when I should perhaps sit quietly, thinking about my work or perhaps focus my attention on making sure my home is in order so I can best create when the moon moves to its next phase.
If you have any interest (or information to share) please comment below or email me. I would love to hear about it and perhaps journey with some others for a few dances to the moon.
Until next time…
