It is that time of year again isn’t it?
The time when all everyone seems to talk about are resolutions.
As you read this gym memberships are climbing and diet books are flying off the shelves.
Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with trying to be the best you there is.
I am just not so sure that picking one day where you stop doing all the things you used to do and start doing all the things you think you should do is the best way to accomplish that.
It is just another day.
When you think about it, each new day is a chance to make a change, invite more of the good stuff in and open the door for the not so good stuff to leave.
So while I am not much for New Year’s Resolutions I do love me a good Vision Board.
I love planning. I love imagining the reality of my dreams and then figuring out the steps to make it happen. I really believe everything is possible and I think that focus and true connection with your dreams and goals is what makes them real.
I wanted to make this blog post to share with you all my moveable vision board.
Moveable because, while yes you need to have it in a prime spot that you will see everyday, for me, things tend to fade into the background.
I thought that if I moved it to a new location each day then I would be sure to see it and be engaged with it.
I made the board itself following one of Jennibelli’s tutorials and love that it is made out of recycled materials that you most definitely have on hand.
I had such a blast making it and really connected with the fun of planning that the message, the essence of my 2014 plans became so clear to me.
Art. Home. Family
Ah, I just love the way that feels.
I love that it is all about bringing together my passions and really keeping me connected with goals.
I also love how it just magically appeared without me having to go, “Ugh what’s my word of the year?!”
Now I have three 🙂
So here is my 2014 Vision Board Plan:
1. Check the board out daily taking time to re-connect with the essence of my 2014 plans.
2. Move the board around so that’s it is always fresh and always catches my eye.
3. Make weekly dates to check in with the board, my to-do list book and my workbook to make sure I am doing what I can to make this dream happen!
4. Share what it is happening here.
One of my goals for 2014 is to share a bit more here.
I realized that I truly love the blogs where people are being honest, heartfelt and just sharing.
I also realize that to do that you kinda have to not give a shit about what other people think or worry about who may read your blog and like or not like it.
It has always been in the back of my head that certain people may read my posts, people who know me offline in the real world, and think, “uh that is so not Michele.”
The truth is. It doesn’t matter.
Living up to the impressions others have of us is not only exhausting but impossible so I say fuck that I am going to be me, share and write and video and if it resonates with you-AWESOME! ROCK ON!
If it doesn’t that’s cool too.
There is space for all of it!
Above is my vision board but if you would like a bit more of a detailed description you can check out the video I made.
I also want to thank you for reading.
Thank you for being here.
And let you know that my wish for you is that 2014 is a focus on all the beauty you have in your life and that you want to bring in your life.
Not a focus on the things you want to get rid of or change about yourself.
You are beautiful.
You are perfect.
You are inspired!
Happy 2014!
Until next time….
