I LOVE Christmas Eve!
Christmas Day always feels like the day after a great night of fun a drink. You know those days; you went to bed in your makeup, possibly even woke up in the clothes from the night before. You are tired regardless of the time and spend the rest of the day trying to remember how good the night before was.
As a child we always opened presents after Santa came. It was our little tradition and my parents would wake us up in the middle of the night (how cool and magical is that?) and we would open our presents, play until we fell asleep in the wrapping paper.
We still keep the tradition and for me, the true celebration is Christmas Eve.
Today my family and I relaxed, went for a walk in town, played in the part and enjoyed some together time. The past few days we have been leaving the TV off and just working on crafts or playing music.
I love it.
Those of you who follow my podcasts (and if you don’t you can sign up here–they are FREE!) you know that I am learning to crochet.
It’s been fun and I cannot believe how much I have learned from these videos online!
My first project is a pair of leg warmers for my 2-year-old.
They aren’t perfect but they have been fun to make and I cannot wait to finish them!
The plan for today is a celebration with the family this evening and tomorrow-just the 3 of us relaxing and enjoying the holidays.
I plan to continue my daily podcasts and my daily blog posts this week so if you are around please pop-in, have a cup of coffee (I have Bailey’s 🙂 and chat. Most of all, I wish you the true meaning of the holidays: Love, Light and the Hope of a Brighter Tomorrow.
Merry Christmas,
