Hello! So I ended up taking an impromptu 2 days off last week and to be honest I am feeling really good. Today was my check-up with my midwives and all is going along very well. Baby #3 and I are quite happy (if not a bit tired-me, not the baby) and I can’t believe how quickly the time is going. Since the fatigue has set in a bit I spent time Friday researching some freezer meal inspiration and today I ended up spending the later part of the afternoon cooking up 3 freezer meals (plus tonight’s dinner and some cookies-I mean, you need to have cookies). All of this lead to today’s later than normal podcast and blog post.
I thought it would be fun to share some creative updates with you and let you know the projects I have going. I have been busy preparing for Friday’s launch of my free workshop-Life Artist Master Class (there is still time to sign up-just click right here). I am working through the exercises myself and to be honest I am having so much fun. Yesterday I painted through Lesson 1 and I am hoping that you all enjoy it as much as I did.
My new book is coming along wonderfully and I am having fun taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo. I am hopeful to have a rough draft of my book done by the end of the month and am actually excited to start editing it. If you have been following me for some time you know that I hate editing. It goes completely against my “throw it against the wall and see if it sticks” creativity but eh, when in Rome right? I also had the inspiration today to actually seek out an agent which is something I have never really considered doing but that feels really true for this book. Who knows where this will all lead!
I am also working on some altered books. If you listened to today’s podcast you heard me mention my trip to the used bookstore. I found several books I plan to alter and am going to turn at least 1 into my new mixed media journal. I will be sure to share some videos with you once they are all done.
We are also making plans to possibly foster some guinea pigs. The shelter we adopted our girls from reached out as they are going to be taking in somewhere around 30 guinea pigs that are being surrendered and they are in desperate need of foster homes. We have some space so my daughter and I are excited to help out. In preparation, I need to sew up some more fleece liners and pads and will take the opportunity to make some domes for my piggies as well.
So that’s what’s new with me. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and if you are joining me in the Life Artist Master Class be sure to comment below and to like my Facebook page. I cannot wait to see you all on the canvas.
Until next time…
